Terms and Conditions

By participating in any of Ryo Online and/or RyoRO features, including the chatbox, forums, news commenting, installing and playing the game, you agree to abide by the following rules. All rules are based on the premise of creating a friendly, fair and enjoyable playing experience for as many people as possible.

It is your responsibility to be aware of these rules. They are always updated at this page. Failure to adhere to these terms could lead to lost of privileges based on the severity of the case, including character muting, character jail time, and game banishment.



Definitions

Public chat - text that can be seen by anyone within 15 tiles of the typer. Includes Grafitti, Talkie Box, chat/shop signs.
Private chat - text that can only be seen or read by your guild, party, or private message members.
Kill-steal or KS - killing a monster that another player is killing without their consent (excludes MVPs).
MVP - Most Valuable Player, or Boss Monsters that bear the MVP sign when killed.
WoE - War of Emperium, the event where guilds claim castles during designated times (see Server info).
PvP / GvG / PvM - Player versus Player, Guild versus Guild, and Player versus Monster, respectively.
GameMaster - the staff of RyoRO, but not necessarily Ryo Online.



Community

1. We have an English-only policy. Other languages acceptable provided that there be direct translation into English
    afterwards in public chat. Private chat is of course open to all languages.
2. Try to respect everyone. No harassment, discrimination or impersonation.
3. If someone apologizes for a misdeed, accept the apology and move on, as they are willing to as well.
4. Felony is not tolerated. (example, ban evasion)
5. We strive to create a child-friendly server. Contents of mature nature are to be kept in private chats.



Game

Community rules also apply to the game.

1. Do not Kill-steal another player's monster without their expressed consent.
2. No use of bots and/or third-party programs to cheat (ie. improving your character by means other players don't have
    access to through our website).
3. Do not abuse in-game skills. This includes, but is not limited to:
     Force/spawn-warping
     Path-blocking
     Deliberately preventing another player from getting their kill
     Spamming skills in populated areas except in WoE and PvP.
4. Do not exploit bugs. This includes duplicating items and/or zeny.
5. Do not spam text in populated areas with exception to WoE and PvP/GvG.
6. Do not scam another player.
7. Do not give out your password to anyone. We will not restore deleted items or characters. Original owner of
    account will be held responsible for actions done by another in their stead.
8. If you have a guild, you must have a visible Emblem for participation in WoE.
9. Do not make "double guilds", that is, making another guild with the same name and emblem.



Reporting

If you witnessed a player disrespecting a rule and have the intention of reporting them, you must have sufficient evidence (screenshots) with their character name highlighted.

You may choose to post them in the forum under Valhalla Prison, or discreetly to a GameMaster (Contact Us). If you choose to post under Valhalla Prison in the forums, you acknowledge the fact that it is public and everyone may comment for or against it. It is therefore your responsibility to not "flame" or reject their opinions (ie. follow community forum rules), but openly generate your rebuttals.
